AGC Holds Anthony S. Santaro AGC Scholarship Classic

July 15, 2011 - Northeast Edition
Construction Equipment Guide

The 2011 NYS AGC Golf Scholarship outing was held June 21, 2011, at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino, Verona, N.Y., on the Shenandoah and Kaluhyat golf courses. This golf course also is a stop on the PGA Tour.

This event, which was established by the NYS AGC in 1988, raises funds to support the NYS AGC scholarship fund. The fund’s goal is to provide financial assistance to college students who have an interest in pursuing a career in New York State’s construction industry. Nearly $900,000 in scholarships has been granted since that time, maintaining the fund’s status as the largest state industry effort of its kind in the country.

This year the scholarship fund received 62 applications for the 2011 scholarship program. Applications were received from more than 15 colleges and universities. The NYS AGC encourages anyone who knows a student in a construction curriculum to recommend this scholarship program to the student.
