Terex Roadbuilding has added industry sales veteran Agustin “Gus” Luis Jr. as district manager in the Great Lakes Region for the company’s equipment offering of mobile, plant and landfill lines. He will have sales, training and dealer development responsibilities for the states of Indiana, Illinois, Ohio and Michigan.
The addition of Luis enables one large sales territory to be made into two smaller regions.
“This is consistent with Terex Roadbuilding’s commitment to enhance support of our customers and equipment through smaller sales territories,” said Mark Oehmke, director of sales of Terex Roadbuilding equipment. “This allows our district managers to develop a deeper partnership with and be a better solution provider for our dealers and customers.”
Luis offers Terex customers more than 15 years of sales and territory/dealer development experience. Most recently, he worked as a sales engineer and regional manager for Ingersoll Rand. There he trained in a number of countries and gained experience with a range of equipment, including asphalt pavers and compactors. He later assumed sales and dealer development responsibilities for 22 countries in Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean. He specialized in integrating different brands of products to dealers, offering customers broader equipment solutions.
As district manager for Terex Roadbuilding, Luis has been crossed-trained and will represent the full range of equipment lines manufactured in Oklahoma City, Okla.
