Scott Place recently joined Atlanta JCB as the company’s new sales manager.

Place is excited to join Atlanta JCB and the parent company, Low Country Machinery.

“It’s not about the name on the sign in front of the building, it’s about the people that run the company that makes the difference to me,” he said. “I’m extremely excited to be a part of this organization. What drew me to Atlanta JCB was the management and staff and their total commitment to the customer and the strong partnership relationship with the manufacturer and the JCB line.”

Place began his career in the heavy equipment industry in 1995 when he joined Neff Rental in Atlanta as an inside sales coordinator. His rapid sales growth quickly earned him a branch management position, and his success in this role propelled him to being appointed area manager in Charlotte, N.C. Subsequently, he returned to Atlanta as the company’s area manager there.

Prior to joining Atlanta JCB, Place also was the general manager of Volvo Rents Atlanta, eventually becoming area sales manager of ASC/Volvo Rents in Atlanta.

Place said that an important aspect of his decision to join Atlanta JCB was having the factory in the state of Georgia and being given the tools to develop a market in the back yard of the manufacturer.

“Under new ownership, our primary job is to redefine who we are and to focus on providing our customers with complete equipment solutions, while upholding the highest standards possible for customer service and support,” he said.

Place looks to build the JCB name in the Atlanta market and to help fulfill the company’s motto, “whatever it takes.”

“I look forward to taking the Low Country Machinery story to our customers and prospects. Low Country Machinery, from its inception, has consistently been a tried and true model for doing business. Not just talk, but truly going the extra mile for customer support and brand loyalty,” he said.
