More than 500 guests were welcomed to the Contractors Association of Will & Grundy Counties Annual Steak Fry, held August 7 at the St. Joseph Park in Joliet, Ill.

In addition to delicious steak, those in attendance were treated to summer favorites such as a bean bag tournament and live entertainment by the Cody Calkins Band. The first place winners of the bean bag tournament were Joe Adler and Greg Pietrzyk, each winning a trophy, cash and bragging rights. Cash prizes were also awarded to the second place winners, who were Jay Adler and Steve Hewelt.

All proceeds each year from the CAWGC events are donated to the charity of choice each year. This year’s charity of choice is the Morning Star Mission in Joliet, Ill., and they were presented with a check for $2,122.11 which is the amount that was raised from the annual golf outing in June. Morning Star Mission will also receive the profits gained from the steak fry including the 50/50 raffle, bean bag tourney and ticket sales.
