Company Wrench held an Appreciation Barbecue Lunch for longtime customer Cohen Recycling at Cohen’s corporate headquarters in Middletown, Ohio, on June 11.

According to Company Wrench owner Brad Hutchinson, the company has been conducting business for more than 10 years, and it has always been one of Company Wrench’s biggest customers. Hutchinson added that Company Wrench is the largest Terex Fuchs dealers in the country, due in great measure to its relationship with Cohen, who in turn, is the largest end user of Terex Fuchs material handling equipment in the United States. As well as Terex Fuchs material handling equipment, Company Wrench also has supplied a large part of Cohen’s fleet of other equipment, including LaBounty shears, Sany excavators and Gehl skid steer loaders.

Hutchinson explained that in years past, before both companies became so large, he and his employees used to load up a barbecue grill, bring it to Cohen’s facility and cook up the lunch themselves. This year, due to Cohen’s continued growth and the challenge of feeding Cohen’s large crew while not interrupting their lunch break shifts, Company Wrench recruited a caterer to bring in barbecued chicken, pulled pork and beef brisket.

Not content to sit on the sidelines however, Company Wrench employees, including Middletown Branch Manager Matt Green, President Cam Gabbard and Owner Brad Hutchinson stationed themselves to serve up the lunch. Terex Fuchs Regional Sales Manager Mike Smith also stopped in to help out. From Hutchinson’s perspective, the lunch is just one of many ways to keep in touch with the company’s roots. He added that it’s important to never fall back on the excuse of being too busy to show appreciation toward those responsible for the ongoing success of the company.

Headquartered in Middleton, Ohio, Cohen is one of the United States largest ferrous and non-ferrous metal recycling companies, processing more than 1.25 million tons annually. Established in 1924, Cohen remains a family-owned business providing localized, personalized, and full-service scrap management with locations in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee.

Company Wrench was founded in 1999 when Brad Hutchinson began operating a truck, trailer and equipment shop and a 24-hour wrecker and recovery service in central Ohio. In 2002, the company became a dealer for Stanley, LaBounty and Beka-Max Auto-Lube Systems. The following year, the company launched a demolition rental fleet, becoming LaBounty’s second largest dealer. The company added equipment lines and branched into construction as it has grown, ultimately representing more than 20 manufacturers with locations in Ohio, Florida, Indiana, New Jersey, North Carolina South Carolina and Tennessee.
