Timothy Schutte has been named western sales and service manager of Drumcutters International, an attachment manufacturer with North American headquarters in Apache Junction, Ariz.
Schutte started in the construction equipment industry in 1984. His first job was at a John Deere dealership in Tucson, Ariz. There he got his first taste of the construction equipment sales and rental business, and assisted in setting up the first rental division for the dealership.
In the years that followed, Schutte sold and rented equipment from a wide range of manufacturers, representing dealers primarily in the southern Arizona region. Most recently, he represented Earhart Equipment in Tucson for six years, where he was introduced to the Drumcutter product line.
While at Earhart, he built Drumcutter’s sales in Arizona, and introduced it to rental customers as well.
“Leaving Earhart to come to Drumcutters was not an easy decision,” Schutte said. “With the support that the Earhart’s have given me and the welcome from Drumcutters staff and the Erkat team around the world has made this a positive move. Seeing the Drumcutter products working in the field and telling the customer the benefits of using Drumcutters for building their profits, employee’s safety and reducing the noise and vibration of traditional attachments makes me feel good.”
Norman Haltof, Drumcutter CEO, noted that Schutte’s work ethic and past experience make him the right person to lead the company’s efforts in the western United States.
Drumcutters International Inc is a specialist in the supply of hydraulic attachments for cutting or grinding rock and concrete, planing asphalt and concrete surfaces, auger drilling and tree stump removal. It is a subsidiary of Erkat, a German attachment manufacturer.
