Emerald Equipment Systems has added the Ecotec Range of Terex Environmental Equipment (TEE) to its extensive material processing and handling equipment offerings. A range of grinders and chippers from Continental Biomass Industries (CBI) also is included under the TEE Ecotec line.

CBI was purchased by Terex Materials Processing in April 2015 and now specializes in selling its remaining custom portable and stationary grinders, chippers and shredders as a division of TEE.

Emerald will be selling and providing aftermarket support for TEE Ecotec equipment in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

TEE was established in 2011 and has developed into a global leader in the design and manufacturing of wood processing equipment. CBI, which was founded in 1988, has joined the Terex family of brands as a company that is synonymous with performance and reliability in a broad range of grinding, shredding, chipping and flailing applications. CBI also brings a portfolio of products that, when combined with Terex products and products in development, can form the basis for a line of standard products that can be sold and supported via distributors.

Horizontal Grinders

TEE Ecotec grinders are designed and manufactured with a focus on flexibility, durability and sustainability. The rotors with an offset-helix hammer layout is at the heart of all CBI horizontal grinders now within the TEE lineup. With Emerald having the TBG 680 upswing horizontal grinder (CBI 6800BT) in stock, it gives them a chance to answer the many requests for demonstrating the machine throughout the territory of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Drum Chippers

TEE Ecotec wood chippers can be configured to produce microchips for wood pellets, chips for boiler fuel and chips for paper and pulp. The drum chipper that has been incorporated from the CBI line is the ChipMax 484, now in different model configurations such as the TBC 435, TBC 435T and TBC 435VT. This adds to TEE’s existing drum chippers, the TBC 430, TBC 430T, TBC 440.

Shredders

TEE Ecotec range of double-shaft slow speed shredders is designed for volume reduction in primary shredding applications such as C&D, bulky waste and MSW.
