Gehl Helps ’Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’ With Wis. Project

November 7, 2006 - Midwest Edition
Construction Equipment Guide

Gehl Company lent a helping hand by donating the use of a RS8-44 telescopic handler, a CT6-18 telescopic handler and a 7810E skid loader to Extreme Makeover: Home Edition to help build the Koepke family of Dundee, Wis., a new home.

A complete new home was designed and built within 100 hours with the help of many local companies, 1,500 subcontractors and 1,200 volunteers. As well as a new home being built, new landscaping, home furnishings and renovation of the historic Dundee Mill for the Dundee community also were included.

“We were proud to be asked to participate in a project like this,” said Dan Keyes, Gehl vice president of sales and marketing. “We have the right equipment to build homes, and felt this was one way we could help the family as well as the community get the project complete in the tight schedule that was expected.”

The show is expected to air Sunday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. central.
