Hills Machinery held an open house May 6 at its location in Charleston, S.C.

The event, billed as the “Grand Opening” of the company’s North Charleston facility, attracted more than 100 local contractors, who were provided an opportunity to tour the facility and to see first-hand the company’s extensive service capabilities. A barbecue lunch also was provided.

During the open house, the company awarded a slew of door prizes consisting of caps, t-shirts, mugs, sweaters and pocket knives.

NPK, Interstate Trailers, Leica GeoSystems machines and equipment were on display, as well as Case, which showcased the 850L dozer, SV 208 roller, 580 Super N backhoe, CX 50B compact excavators, CX31B compact excavators, TR270 track loader and 327B artic truck.

Parts and service were a theme throughout the event. Hills Machinery offers customers same-day parts delivery and on-site service 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Technicians at Hills Machinery undergo a rigorous training program and then update their education on a regular basis.

The company has another branch in Columbia, S.C. Both locations of Hills Machinery are about the same size with around 12,000 sq. ft. of parts and service space on several acres.

The Columbia shop is located at 1014 Atlas Way in the southeast part of town near Williams-Brice Stadium. The Charleston location is at 7168B Cross County Road in North Charleston.

Hills Machinery carries Case, Interstate trailers and accessories, NPK hammers, Paladin Brands, Leica Geosystems and more. Hills Machinery hopes to add more lines later this year.
