On Sept. 23, JCB of Chattanooga hosted an open house event to showcase the newest JCB products available. Representatives of JCB as well as other manufacturers, including Chicago Pneumatic, Husqvarna, Avant Tecno, Minnich Manufacturing and others came out to showcase their products and support the event.
The event featured a catered barbecue lunch, giveaways from various manufacturers, a mini excavator competition championship and a drawing for the grand prize of a Mossberg 12 gauge duck hunting shotgun.
The grand prize winner of the Mossberg 12 gauge shotgun was Norm Branum of the city of East Ridge, Tenn., and the winner of the mini-excavator competition and a new Husqvarna electric concrete saw was Jake Waddle of Black Concrete Construction, Cleveland, Tenn.
JCB brought a unique machine combo to the open house. A Paladin-Bradco Ground Shark heavy-duty brush cutter mounted on a JCB 325T eco with JCB ForestMaster package was on display. The Ground Shark is capable of cutting 7 in. (17.8 cm) trees/brush and grinding the stump to ground level using carbide teeth on the bottom of the disk. The JCB ForestMaster forestry package comes complete with winch, window and light guards and tempered glass, and are factory installed during manufacturing in Savannah, Ga. The side entry door of the machine and high flow hydraulics are key components that make this machine/attachment combination such a success.
Chicago Pneumatic showcased its latest products, including a light tower, portable 185 Tier IV final air compressor, hydraulic power pack with hydraulic tools and a wide variety of pneumatic air tools and hydraulic and pneumatic pumps.
