Jesco has purchased certain assets of Ditch Witch of Maryland Inc., expanding Jesco’s area of primary responsibility for Ditch Witch, Hammerhead and other products manufactured by The Charles Machine Works into Washington, D.C., and the following counties of Maryland:

• Harford

• Baltimore (county and city)

• Carroll

• Frederick

• Washington

• Montgomery

• Howard

• Anne Arundel

• Prince George’s

• Calvert

• Charles

• Saint Mary’s

These counties are in addition to Jesco’s current responsibility in the mid-Atlantic region for Cecil County, Md., and New Castle County, Del.

Jesco will support this expansion from its facilities in Baltimore, White Plains and Frederick, Md. Future plans include expanding the sale of equipment, parts and service to a new Jesco location in Forest Hills, Md.

“Diversification is crucial in every business,” said Anthony Falzarano, Jesco vice president of sales. “Jesco has expanded our product offering to include Ditch Witch products as to offer our customers a diverse array of options to complete their projects. Our customers can utilize our John Deere products for open cut applications or a variety of Ditch Witch products for jobs that require directional drilling.”

Jesco has five locations throughout Delaware and Maryland that currently service the construction community with John Deere and Bomag products, according to Jon Robustelli, president. The company will transition the Ditch Witch products to four of these locations.

“Doing so will provide greater parts, service and sales coverage for our Ditch Witch customers throughout the Mid-Atlantic region,” Robustelli said.

“Jesco has been a Ditch Witch dealer since 2011; they are a great business partner and we thoroughly enjoy the relationship with The Charles Machine Works. We are honored they chose Jesco when the opportunity arose to grow our territory into Maryland,” he added.

Jesco employs Warren Hagenbuch as its general manager of the underground division. Hagenbuch has been in the industry for 36 years and selling Ditch Witch products for 16 years.
