Road Machinery has recently welcomed two hires, Rick Dennis and Bill Schwenk. The company also has promoted Mark Caldwell to regional general manager.

Dennis has joined the company as regional sales manager for Northern California. In his new position, Dennis is responsible for increasing new and used equipment sales in his territory, with six account managers reporting to him.

“We welcome Rick to Road,” said Dan Roush, president of Road Machinery. “He brings many years of experience and a tremendous amount of technical and sales knowledge to the company. We expect him to have a major impact in increasing our market share.”

Dennis has 35 years of experience in the heavy equipment industry. He has extensive knowledge of the industry, due to the wide range of departments he has worked with, including parts, accounting, inside and outside sales, and both sales and operations management.

Schwenk has joined the company as regional sales manager for Southern California. In his new position, Schwenk oversees equipment sales and rentals for the territory, with five account managers reporting to him.

“We expect Bill’s experience will give us a huge edge in this very competitive market,” said Dan Roush, president of Road Machinery. “Bill has been extremely successful in heavy equipment sales over the past 30 years, and we expect his impact to be significant.”

Schwenk began his career in construction equipment as an outside salesman for a dealership in Montana and was promoted to regional sales manager there, where he built a very successful sales team, before moving to Road Machinery. He will be responsible for building the company’s sales in the Southern California market.

Caldwell has been promoted to regional general manager of product support in California. In his new position, Caldwell oversees all parts and service operations for the 5 locations in the state.

“We expect Mark to have a major impact in growing our parts and sales operations in California,” said Dan Roush, president at Road Machinery. “With over 30 years in the equipment business, he has the experience necessary to make sure our customers’ needs are fully met. He will also play an important role in deciding where additional branches should be located.”

Caldwell began his career in the service department of an equipment dealership and was promoted to service manager before moving to Road Machinery as general service manager. In the past few years, Caldwell’s responsibilities have been expanded consistently, including a promotion to regional general manager of Northern California, overseeing parts, service, and sales.

Road Machinery LLC has been selling and servicing heavy machinery since 1955. As the exclusive dealer for Komatsu in the Southwest, the company has fifteen locations throughout the area, in Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, California and Mexico.
