Just in time for spring, SDLG has added two new locations to its dealer network: Westbrook, Maine-based Chadwick-Baross and Vernon, British Columbia, Canada-based Great West Equipment.

Both locations will sell and fully support the entire lineup of SDLG wheel loaders available in the region. Both have a team of well-trained sales and service personnel to back their products – they will also offer SDLG’s 21st Century Product Support, which uses a central parts location to ship parts to customers and dealers often within 24 hours.

Both Chadwick-Baross and Great West Equipment will be able to offer the SDLG LG938L, a 2.5 yd³ capacity wheel loader; the LG948L, a 3.0 yd³ capacity wheel loader; the LG958L, a 4.0 yd3 capacity wheel loader; and the LG959, which has the same basic specs as the LG958L, but with wet disc brakes rather than dry disc. All four loaders are backed by a 12-month, 1,500-hour warranty.

Great West Equipment

Great West Equipment, with 11 locations in British Columbia and Yukon, will sell SDLG’s complete lineup of wheel loaders in Canada.

Roger Dobie, vice president of sales for the company, said that bringing SDLG to Great West will give customers an alternative to higher-priced, premium wheel loaders, especially when they are in need of a low-production machine.

“For our customers that in the past predominantly bought used loaders, SDLG wheel loaders will be a great option,” he said. “They have a great price point and are backed by superb product and service support.”

Many of Great West’s customers work in agriculture or general construction, among others, and should find SDLG wheel loaders ideal for their applications.

“There’s a whole group of customers out there that don’t need to run a wheel loader 24/7/365,” Dobie explained. “But they do need a quality wheel loader that’s backed by a great warranty and serviced by a great dealership, and that’s where SDLG and Great West can be successful.”

Chadwick-Baross

Chadwick-Baross will offer SDLG wheel loaders in Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. The company, which is a division of Strongco, will sell SDLG’s complete lineup of wheel loaders. It will also fully back the machines, providing extensive product support and service.

Randy Mace, product manager for the company, said that bringing SDLG to Chadwick-Baross will give the company an ideal alternative to higher-priced, premium machines that some customers don’t need or can’t afford.

“There’s a whole market out there made up of smaller contractors, municipalities or individuals who would like a quality loader that’s backed by a great warranty, but don’t want to pay for a machine with features they don’t need or want,” he said. “SDLG enables us to have a product to suit their needs, too.”

Chadwick-Baross is an experienced dealer of construction equipment, with locations in Westbrook, Bangor and Caribou, Maine; Concord, New Hampshire; and a location in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. Many of its customers work in the snow removal, municipality, residential construction, plumbing and lumber industries, among others.

“Customers that only use machines for smaller projects or seasonal work don’t need the features of a premium, more expensive machine,” Mace said. “Some only need secondary machines that won’t be running for many hours each week. Still others may be in the market for used machine. For them we can now offer a quality product that has quality support.”

Seal of approval

Al Quinn, director of SDLG North America, said Great West and Chadwick-Baross are great additions to the SDLG dealer network, especially considering their experience and expertise.

“There are two keys to success for SDLG in North America,” he explained. “The first is to have a great wheel loader that’s backed by great service and support. The second is to have a dealer network that really knows which customers the machines are suited for and can then provide them with top-notch support for years to come. With SDLG joining forces with Great West and Chadwick-Baross, we’re accomplishing both goals.”
