Highway Equipment Company has announced that Jason Shields has joined the Highway Equipment Company sales team.

Shields is responsible for rentals and sales of Highway Equipment Company’s heavy equipment in Ohio along with selected accounts in Pennsylvania.

The Utica Gas Shale business is growing in Ohio and Highway Equipment Company with the help of Jason are planning to grow with it. Many of Highway Equipment Company’s customers from western Pennsylvania are currently doing work in the Utica Gas Shale Play in Ohio. Shields will be there to take care of their equipment needs, as well as the equipment needs of other Ohio contractors.

Shields is a veteran of the construction equipment industry having worked as a salesman for a major heavy equipment dealer in western Pennsylvania. His knowledge of construction, shale gas and pipeline equipment will be a benefit to the customers in his territory.

He also is an experienced operator of heavy equipment and enjoys providing customers with solutions to their equipment rental needs. He is customer focused and can relate to both the jobsite foreman and upper level management. Shields is excited and highly motivated to assist customers with their equipment rental and sales needs.
