Superior Industries Inc. displayed its latest portable screen plant at ConExpo-Con/AGG 2014. Known as an innovator in portable equipment technology for the construction aggregate industry, the 8x20 screen was outfitted with a Terex 8 by 20 ft. (2.4 by 6 m) triple deck screen.

Superior equips its portable plants with a problem-solving centering chute. Designed to centralize the material feed to the screen, the centering chute will optimize screening efficiencies to ensure in-spec product. In addition, rollaway screen chutes can be adjusted manually by hand and are accessible from the plant’s quick-to-deploy walkway system. As opposed to fixed or sliding, the cross conveyors also are designed to easily roll into position on either side of the plant.

The plant’s discharge chute is manufactured with 3/8-in. (.9 cm) AR steel. The high wear resistant material is standard on Superior screen plants and saves owners and operators from time spent replacing and maintaining weld in chute liners, according to the manufacturer.

In addition, each plant is equipped with Superior’s own brand of conveyor components including idlers, pulleys and belt scrapers.
