Tracey Road Equipment held an open house Oct. 6 in East Syracuse, N.Y., to celebrate its 35th anniversary.

A variety of activities and events kept guests entertained during the open house, including the New Holland Super Boom Road Show event, during which attendees could demonstrate their operating skills on a new 200 Series skid steer. Chris Howlett C.D. Howlett of Marietta, N.Y., won the event with a time of 1 minute and 12 seconds, earning a trip to Louisville, Ky., Oct. 27 to 29 to compete in the semifinals and finals. If he is the big winner there, he’ll take home a new fully-loaded New Holland 2011 L218 skid steer loader with retail value of approximately $35,000.

The Alliance Truck Parts Racing Team made a pit stop at the open house. There, guests could see the #12 Dodge Challenger, get a collectable photo, win $25 Alliance Truck Parts gift cards and play the Pit Stop Challenge matching game.

Plenty of door prizes had guests keeping their ears open to find out if they were lucky winners. The grand prize was four tickets to see the much-improved Buffalo Bills in action against the Denver Broncos later this year. All proceeds for the tickets, which totaled approximately $1,000, benefitted the American Red Cross. Dave Montroy of Montroy Development won the tickets.

Prior to the open house, guests could pre-register for the chance to win either $500 and/or $750 in Tracey Road Rewards. The former could be won by simply registering online at Tracey Road Equipment’s Web site, while the latter could be won by pre-registering on Facebook and “liking” Tracey Road Equipment.

Of course, guests were well fed with Tracey Road Equipment serving up a delicious barbecue lunch. Equipment demonstrations and seminars also were held throughout the day.
