Western Construction Auction (WCA) held an auction in Perris, Calif., at the company’s Los Angeles facility Dec. 5. The facility is located at 2021 Goetz Road in Perris.

More than 800 bidders participated in both the live and Internet bidding.

Highlights from the auction featured trucks as well as construction equipment.

Some of the highlights included a 2003 Cat 420D backhoe that went for $35,000, a 2007 Ford F750XL bucket truck for $65,000, a 2008 Peterbilt 386 truck tractor for $42,000, a 2007 Cat 302.5C mini-excavator for $19,500, a 2006 John Deere 210LE skid loader for $16,500 and a 2003 Kobelco SK480LC hydraulic excavator for $57,500.

“We had a very strong Internet presence and some solid bidding from the floor,” said Grant Cook, president of WCA. “Prices are stabilizing and we are able to bring the highest possible value to our sellers in a time of uncertainty and we see more stability going forward into 2010.

WCA’s upcoming auction at the Los Angeles site is scheduled for Feb.13, 2010.
