Concrete contractors can now choose between two gasoline engine options on Wacker Neuson's 48-in. (122 cm) power steer (CRT 48-PS series) ride-on trowel product line. A new model, CRT 48-57K-PS, is powered by a 57-hp liquid cooled Kubota gasoline engine. It joins the 35-hp Vanguard air-cooled engine powered model, the CRT 48-35V-PS. The two models offer concrete contractors the ability to choose the power source that best fits their needs plus get all the benefits of Wacker Neuson's two mode steering system and other high performance features.

The CRT 48-57K-PS was developed for the professional concrete finisher that historically purchased hydraulically powered 48-in. ride-on trowels. The CRT 48-57K-PS with its higher horsepower (57-hp Kubota at 3600 rpm and electronic fuel injection) produces greater blade speed, and due to its liquid cooling and reserve power, it is well suited for high load conditions in hot southern climates. The CRT 48-57K-PS also offers superior steering control combined with Wacker Neuson's proven mechanical blade drive system and patented Dynamic Steering Stabilizer (DSS) that eliminates blade chatter commonly seen in competitive models. All these high performing features are available at a lower price point compared to hydraulic powered 48-in. ride-on models.

Additional Features

While the CRT 48-57K-PS model is the newest addition to Wacker Neuson's growing trowel line, it complements the CRT 48-35V-PS that is powered by the 35-hp air-cooled Vanguard engine at 4000 rpms. The CRT 48-35V-PS is a high performing, entry level machine that provides all the benefits of the mechanical blade drive system and DDS for a professional concrete finish, according to the manufacturer.

Both models offer Wacker Neuson's power steer system (PS) that provides a combination of hydraulics and electronics resulting in a true power steer system that offers the results of a hydraulic unit matched with the responsiveness of the mechanical steer unit. The two-mode steering system allows operators to select the response of the joysticks to meet their preference and best suit the concrete conditions. Using the simple joystick controls, the CRT 48-PS models handle and perform like a lighter weight finishing machine, and at the end of the day, the operator sees superior finishing results with no fatigue.

Wacker Neuson's gasoline power steer models provide a solution for contractors looking to bridge the gap between the professional/mechanical steer and super pro hydraulic models in the industry. The CRT 48-PS models are a practical choice for large pours where the operator uses the machine for extended periods of time and on elevated deck pours where heavy weight full hydraulic machines cannot be used safely.
