SEATTLE (AP) Gov. Chris Gregoire and U.S. Sen. Patty Murray say a $277 million highway construction project for Interstate 405 in Bellevue is ready for bids.

The project will build new multilevel ramps in an attempt to relieve congestion on I-405, and is expected to create about 560 jobs.

Gregoire said $30 million for the project is included in the $492 million the state has received so far from the federal government for highway construction.

A separate I-405 project in Bothell, which includes $40 million of the stimulus money, will create about 440 jobs and a new lane between the interstate and State Route 527.
