The Alumni Board of Alpha Gamma Rho Zeta Chapter (Cornell University) along with the undergraduate chapter is hosting our 110th Annual Founders Day on April 27th at the fraternity house at 203 Highland Avenue in Ithaca, NY. To celebrate 110 years of making better men the board is hosting a scholarship charity auction to support current and future brothers in their educational pursuits. World class experiences from coast to coast along with unique services and items will be auctioned off online and in person on April 27th. Everything is donated by alumni looking to support the future of the house! Please join us for this one of a kind event.

23 FUNDRAISER ITEMS: ITEM 1: Round of Trap, Lunch, Drinks, and a Fine Cigar at the Camp Fire Club of America. Hosted by Major Dan Hooker, USMCR (Ret.) AGR ‘86 (Eligible participant is any Male aged 21 or over). On a mutually-agreed-upon Wednesday the winning bidder and host would meet at the gate of the Camp Fire Club of America at 230 Campfire Rd., Chappaqua, NY 10514 (in Westchester County) at 10am. The host will provide a grand tour of the facility and then we will shoot a round, have lunch and drinks, then enjoy a cigar on the porch overlooking the lake. All equipment provided… shotgun, ammunition, hearing protection, shooting vest, shooting glasses… cigar! Field and Stream magazine originated as the official newsletter of the Camp-Fire Club of America. The organization’s primary focus is upon conservation and the practice and continuation of outdoor skills. Camp-Fire Club has had some notable members including: Theodore Roosevelt, Boy Scouts of America founding members Daniel Carter Beard and Ernest Thompson Seton, founder of modern taxidermy Carl Akeley, conservation giant Gifford Pinchot, ‘Buffalo Bill’ Cody, George Shields, David Abercrombie, George Dupont Pratt, Ezra Fitch, Zane Grey, Charles “Buffalo” Jones, Laurance Rockefeller, Carl Rungius, James L. Clark, and Clarence Birdseye. The club has had strong membership connections and close ties with many organizations over its history including the American Museum of Natural History, the Boy Scouts of America, the Bronx Zoo, The Adirondack League Club, and the Explorers Club. ITEM 2: Feel Like Re-Enacting a Scene From Caddyshack? “Gonna get that Gopher” Come join George Renkert ’90 for a 2 day prairie dog hunt in Kaycee, WY and help the ranch do some pasture maintenance. Package includes all meals and lodging in the bunk house. Tour of the ranch and surrounding countryside is also included. Now go get those gophers! ITEM 3: A Week’s Stay at Treasure Island, FL. Come enjoy this fabulous 2 bedroom 2 bath Gulf front 1150sq ft condo on Treasure Island donated by Bill ’86 and Debbie Wickham for a 7 day stay (subject to availability). You’ll be just steps from the beach and the pool! Treasure Island is approx. 30 minutes South of the Tampa Airport. ITEM 4: A Whole Lot of Nut Shakin’ Goin’ On. Come join Doug DeGroff ’96 for the harvest of almonds or pistachios in Central California. Partake in the harvest or just observe the harvest of these delicious nuts. For privacy reasons you will not be able to observe the almonds being milked. However, you can do as much fondling of the nuts as you would like. Almond harvest is typically in August (one variety is early & the other late). Pistachios are harvested in October. We have a private one-bedroom apartment with all the amenities and a car for you to drive, you just have to get to the Central Valley of CA. closest airports are Fresno or Bakersfield, CA. In addition, join Doug and Alison for a day of wine tasting on the award-winning area of California’s Central Coast. ITEM 5: Oregon Fishing Trip for Two with OJ. Enjoy a two-day fishing trip for two (2) in Oregon with Chris “OJ” Nichols ’81. Chose to fish for trout and kokanee from high cascade lake, Detroit Lake or Green Peter Reservoir; salmon from the Columbia River; or crab and clams in the coastal estuaries. Couple this trip with your own adventures such as a winery tour in the Willamette Valley, hiking in Central Oregon (Bend), wildlife viewing on the coast, etc. to make it the trip of a lifetime. Work out the details with and get recommendations for other parts of your trip from OJ. This trip must be used during 2024 or 2025. Travel expenses, lodging and fishing licenses not provided. Lunch to be provided. Located between Saratoga NY and the Green Mountains of Vermont, this is a scenic area with plenty of recreational opportunities. Days offered will be mutually agreed upon in May-June or September-October as these typically are the best water levels and best for the survival of the fish. ITEM 7: Black-Eyed Susan Day- A Legendary AGR Day at the Track. We invite you and a guest to join legendary Zeta Brothers Mike McMahon, Kurt Overton, Corey Wolff, Ed Caywood, Joe Moran, Jayson Papa and Jim Ward for a Triple Crown Racing Event at Black-Eyed Susan Day in Baltimore on Friday, May 17th. It is a full day of fun and promises to be a day to remember. Includes race tickets, food, drink, and fun. A night of lodging included. Suggested Value - $1,000. ITEM 8: Bass Fishing with AGR in Henderson Harbor. We invite you and three guests to join fellow AG Rs Tom and Kurt Overton and Matt Greene for a day of small mouth bass fishing out of Henderson Harbor on Lake Ontario. Fish not guaranteed but fun certainly is. We will have a great day out on the water! All tackle, bait, food and drink included. Date to be mutually agreed upon. Suggested Value - $800. ITEM 9: Enjoy a Great Day at the Saratoga Race track Courtesy of Bourbon Lane Stable. Package includes Box Seats for 5 at the Race track PLUS 5 bottles of Pinhook Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey! Donated by Bill ’80 and Ann Mowry ’81 this cottage is on Silver Lake outside of Perry NY Week to be mutually agreed upon. ITEM 11: Hang 10 Off the Coast of San Diego. Hang 10 or hang on as Kevin Kozak ’90 takes you surfing off the coast of San Diego. For those experienced boarders, he’ll show you his best moves. For those new to the sport, he will teach you the basics and hopefully have you up and going. Either way it will be a great day! In case of inclement weather or flat water, Kevin has agreed to take the winning bidder on a hike in the hills surrounding San Diego and show you some of the sites of the city, so you’ll feel like a local. Package also includes a tour of their 1000 cow dairy as well as their new farm store. ITEM 22: Come Fly with Me!!! Daytrip on Sunnyside Air! Destination of your choice on Private Flight! Donated by Greg ‘95 and Neil ‘ 97 Rejman you and 3 guests will depart Ithaca on a mutually agreed upon date and fly free anywhere within a 600 mile radius for the day!!! Cubs game in Chicago? Sail boating in Maine? Visit Friends or Family? Sunnyside Farms will supply the plane and pilot (Neil) and all flight related expenses. The rest is on you. ITEM 23: A Day Planting Corn at Lincoln Dairy: Join the team at Lincoln Dairy for a fun filled day of rock picking, tillage and corn planting. Purchase this lot and you will be able to experience all the thrills of spring work in Central New York.
