Bishop joined Ascendum's U.S. team on May 22, 2017, to assume management of the company after Brad Stimmel, who has served as CEO for the past 9 years, announced his retirement. Stimmel will stay on during the transition period to support Bishop's integration in the organization.

Bishop has vast experience in the construction equipment industry, working for the past 28 years at a Caterpillar dealership. During his tenure there, he gained the requisite experience and knowledge to successfully manage the Ascendum operations.

“Ascendum welcomes Kenny [Bishop], in whom we have total confidence, and I thank the commitment with which Brad [Stimmel] has helped this group grow for the last 10 years,” said Ricardo Mieiro, president of the executive board of Ascendum Group.

“Also, Brad's dedication and vision in the role of president of the Volvo North American Dealer Advisory Council, a group of 10 dealers that advise Volvo on the North American Market, was unmatched,” added Mieiro. “He managed with intelligence and had the common interests of Volvo Construction Equipment and the dealers in mind. Besides being a great friend, Brad was and will always be, for us, an Ascendum gentleman. We wish him and his family the best in this new chapter of his life.”

“It has been such an honor to work with all the fine professional people in all platforms of Ascendum,” said Stimmel. “I count these 10 years as the best experience of my entire career. I thank everyone for their support, help and most of all, their friendship.”— CEG
