The Board of Ascendum Hired Kenny Bishop to be the new CEO for the U.S. operation. Kenny joins the U.S. team on May 22nd, to assume the management of the company as its CEO in June, a role that was performed, in the last decade, with great professionalism and commitment by Brad Stimmel.  Brad retires at the end of July after a transition period with Kenny.

Kenny Bishop has a broad and long experience in the construction equipment industry and worked for the last 28 years at a Caterpillar dealership, gaining the necessary experience and knowledge to manage Ascendum operations in the US.

Kenny was selected in a very rigorous one year recruitment process that involved a final decision by the Board and had the objective of assuring that the company remains on the right track in terms of competitiveness and results.

Kenny Bishop grew up in Birmingham, Alabama and has been married for 29 years to Kelli.  She was his high school sweetheart, and they have one son and two daughters: Mitch, finishing its last year in high school, and Lily and Olivia, both married and living in Florida and Mississippi.

Brad Stimmel will continue for a transition period and support Kenny's integration in the organization.

"Ascendum welcomes Kenny, in whom we deposit our total confidence.  And I thank the commitment with which Brad helped this Group grow for the last 10 years" said Ricardo Mieiro, remembering that Brad always promoted the Ascendum family spirit and an ambition to motivate his team to find solutions to the market challenges. I am remembering also Brad's dedication and vision in the role of President of the Volvo North American Dealer Advisory Council, a group of 10 dealers that advice Volvo on the North American Market; managing with intelligence the common interests of Volvo Construction Equipment and the dealers. "Besides being a great friend, Brad was and will always be, for us, an Ascendum Gentleman. We wish him and his family the best in this new chapter of his life".

Brad says he wants everyone to know, "it has been such an honor to work with all the fine professional people in all platforms of Ascendum.  I count these 10 years as the best #1 experience of my entire career.  I thank everyone for their support, help, most of all, their friendship."
