Bardons & Oliver, located in Solon, Ohio, approximately 15 mi. southeast of Cleveland, has been manufacturing precision machine parts for more than 100 years.

Located in a 100,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility, the company offers a specialized and experienced resource for contract machining and manufacturing needs.

Bardons & Oliver’s capabilities include machining of steel, grey iron, ductile iron and aluminum castings in addition to steel and aluminum forgings. The company serves the oil and gas, machine tools, plastic molding, pumps and valves, power transmission and transportation industries.

Bardons & Oliver also offers supply chain management, assembly, testing, manufacturing know-how and financial stability and a variety of equipment to suit specific manufacturing outsourcing requirements. The company is capable of machining prismatic parts up to 72 cu. in. (1,180 cu cm) and 12,000 lbs. (5,443 kg), vertical turning to 80 in. (203 cm) OD and 60 in. (152 cm) long and horizontal turning up to 32 in. (81 cm) OD and 144 in. (366 cm) long.

In addition to completing pre-production process routers, fixture design, tooling management and machine loading schedules, the company also offers large part capacity on both vertical and horizontal machining centers, most of which are equipped with multi-pallet shuttle systems to allow continuous spindle run time, minimizing set up time, and keeping production moving and part costs lower.

Most of the company’s CNC machining centers offer “lights out” unattended operation to further reduce the cost of complex precision parts and delivery time.

In many cases fixtures remain on the pallet and tooling remains in the machine magazine to allow “flexible” scheduling by the customer and quick response on special delivery needs. Parts can be run and delivered in hours if needed, according to the company.

As an added customer service, there are two large assembly bays available with 14-ton (12.7 t) lifting capacity, allowing assembly and testing of components if required. Value-added items such as mechanical assembly, as well as the addition of hydraulic or pneumatic components can be combined to create a sub assembly or finished unit ready to mount or use on the final product. This can further reduce cost, handling time and inventory.

Additional capabilities such as painting, pressure testing, panel wiring and testing also are available.

For more than 60 years the company has been assembling various components and complete machines for a variety of industries including plastic molding, printing, machine tools, tire building, fluid power, transportation, power transmission and aerospace.
