CDRA Announces 2015 Construction and Demolition Industry Annual Awards and 2015 Class of the C&D Rec

The 2015 awards will be presented at the C&D World Conference, March 30, 2015 in Nashville, TN.

The Construction and Demolition Recycling Association (CDRA), has announced the organization’s slate of 2015 Industry Award Honorees. CDRA is the national trade association dedicated to the safe and responsible recycling of the more than 325 million tons of construction and demolition (C&D) materials that are generated in the United States annually. The 2015 awards will be presented at the C&D World Conference, March 30, 2015 in Nashville, TN.

Timothy Townsend, Ph.D., the John Edmunds Professor of Environmental Engineering at the University of Florida and Charles Gusmano, Co-Founder / President and CEO of Southern Waste Systems and Sun Recycling in Davie, FL will be inducted into the C&D Hall of Fame for 2015. The C&D Recycling Hall of Fame honors those prominent leaders and pioneers in the Construction and Demolition Recycling Industry who have made an extraordinary contribution to the industry and who have earned the respect of the industry. In addition they have made extraordinary contributions to their community, both personally and professionally.

E.L. Harvey & Sons, Westborough, MA, will be honored as C&D Recycler of the Year. The C&D Recycler of the Yearhonors those Recycling Operations in the Construction and Demolition Recycling Industry who have made an extraordinary contribution to the industry through advance business operations that increase recycling percentages, novel methods of marketing, innovative practices in employer-employee relations, safety, protecting the environment and developing industry standards.

Jason Haus, CEO of Dem-Con in Shakopee, MN has been chosen as the CDRA Member of the Year. This award is given to a member who has shown extraordinary service to the mission of the organization and has made enduring contributions to the success of the Association.

In addition, the organization will recognize three companies with the CDRA President’s Award. This award recognizes significant contributions in the C&D Recycling Industry. The 2015 Honorees include Publix Super Markets, Lakeland, FL, Interior Removal Specialist, South Gate, CA, and MBL Recycling, Palatine, IL.
