Senate Environment & Public Works Committee Chairman John Barrasso (R-Wyo.), House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee Chairman Bill Shuster (R-Pa.), Ranking House T & I Committee Member Peter DeFazio (D-Ore.), and House Ways and Means Committee Member Earl Blumenauer (D-Ore.) will address more than 500 transportation design and construction executives, and labor union officials May 17 during the annual Transportation Construction Coalition (TCC) Washington Fly-in. They are expected to discuss highway and transit investment policy issues and possible timing for a new Trump administration infrastructure package.

The theme of this year's fly-in is focused on pushing members of Congress to provide a permanent solution for the Highway Trust Fund's (HTC) revenue shortfall. The TCC will begin running a new print ad next week in Capitol Hill publications calling on Congress to fix the HTF as part of tax reform. View the new ad.

TCC members will head to Capitol Hill May 18 for a day of meetings with their representatives and senators to discuss the HTF and the many potential positive economic and job creation impacts that could result from a new major transportation infrastructure investment plan.
