Construction Begins to Transform Disneyland's Paradise Pier

Construction is starting at Paradise Pier in Disney California Adventure, which will soon be transformed into Pixar Pier this summer.

Attractions including California Screamin', Mickey's Fun Wheel, the Games of the Boardwalk, Sideshow Shirts, Ariel's Grotto and the Cove Bar will all be closed for the duration of the work, Laughing Place reported. When complete, the area will feature updated attractions, food, shops and neighborhoods themed around Pixar movies, the Disney Parks blog reported.

The Pixar Pier is set to open in summer 2018.
