Equipment East’s new facility is located at 61 Silva Lane, Dracut, Mass.

Following its ribbon cutting ceremony in April, Equipment East hosted a successful Open House at its brand-new facility located at 61 Silva Lane in Dracut, Mass., on May 6. The rainy weather didn't stop a heavy crowd of more than 500 customers, friends and family from pouring in to celebrate.

The Equipment East team has worked around-the-clock over the past year to make this new building become a reality, and they were honored to give back to their loyal customers and hard-working employees, by providing a day filled with fun and celebration.

The entire event was catered by Greenhouse Catering, located in Nashua, N.H. They kicked off the morning serving everyone gourmet breakfast omelets to order, and then provided a delicious array of BBQ lunch.

The indoor/outdoor equipment display included a Doosan DX 490 excavator equipped with a Ramfos TF70 hydraulic hammer, Doosan loaders, rock trucks, a Keestrack crusher and conveyer and full-line Stihl was on display.

Customers had the opportunity to operate the Doosan DX 85 mini-excavator. It was set-up as a contest, and whomever had the fastest time knocking over wooden planks, that were strategically placed in-between construction cones, without knocking off the tennis balls that were placed on each cone, won a Yeti cooler, courtesy of Sullivan Palatek. The winner of the contest was Martin Kiely, of Kiely Excavating in Waltham, Mass., with a perfect run of 17 seconds.

Equipment East also hosted a grand-prize, "Drop Your Business Card for a Chance to Win" a Ramfos hydraulic hammer. The grand-prize winner was M. Keane Excavating Inc. of Quincy, Mass. They will have the option of choosing up to a T14 class hammer.

The new 43,000 sq. ft. facility features eight drive-through service bays, enhancing serviceability of customers' equipment; a wash bay and state-of-the-art fluid distribution system for accurate dispensing of hydraulic, gear, and transmission oils; and a large indoor-outdoor parts warehouse, providing customers with the most commonly needed spare parts.

Equipment East's facility also provides comfort for team members to promote productivity. Amenities include multiple comfortable lunch rooms, a uniform changing area, private restrooms and radiant floor heating throughout.

Equipment East LLC is an official dealer of Doosan, Yanmar, Stihl, Keestrack, Ramfos, and more. The company has been ranked a top Doosan dealer three times in its four years selling and renting the Seoul, Korea-based machines.
