The awards ceremony for the 2014 Top Foreign Direct Investors in Poland, which was hosted by Biz Poland Magazine and co-organized by The Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency, Special Economic Zones in Poland, Chamber of Commerce of Poland, was held at the Hotel Intercontinental, Warsaw on October 16th. LiuGong Dressta Machinery Co., Ltd., was awarded 2014 Top Chinese Investor in Poland.

This prize was evaluated by the judging committee, which was composed of 25 authorities in the business, like Slawomir Majman, President of Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency, commercial counselors of various countries in Poland, and chairmen of Chamber of Commerce of Poland, etc. The evaluation process and result were also notarized by special notary. The evaluation standard covered several important aspects like investment scale, the strategic meaning to Poland economy and development, jobs opportunities and staff satisfaction, etc.

LiuGong spent more than $50 million in acquiring HSW on January 31st. 2012 and it acquired Poland ZZN company in October, 2013. It has provided 1800 jobs in Poland and thus became the biggest Chinese enterprise in Poland.

LiuGong Dressta aims to become the research and development, purchase, manufacturing, sales and talent cultivation base tailored for the Europe and American top-end market. After acquisition, LiuGong Dressta gradually carried out various business integration on the basis of respecting local law, regulation and culture. The assets, talents, efficiency, cost, safety and environment of LiuGong Dressta have been optimized by LiuGong’s global resources and local advantages.

Hou Yubo, general manager assistant of LiuGong Dressta, received the award and said, “This award is not only the high praise for the investor, but also the recognition for continuous effort and corporation between Chinese and Polish staff!”

Besides, Volkswagen, Amazon, LG and other world famous enterprises are awarded 2014 “ Top German Investor”, “Top American Investor”, “Top Korean Investor” in Poland. The enterprises that got the award in 2013 were Toyota, Philips, IKEA, Nestle, Bombardier and IBM in Poland.

Zeng Guang’an, Chaiman of LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd., said: “This award inspires all the staff of LiuGong Dressta. It also proves that LiuGong’s corporate management concept and social responsibility can surely compete with the world-class enterprises!”

Xu Jian, the Chinese ambassador to Poland, spoke highly of LiuGong’s investment in Poland, “LiuGong is the biggest Chinese enterprise that invests in Poland. I think it has set a very successful example. I also hope that more enterprises can explore the Polish market and invest in Poland like LiuGong.”

Janusz Piechocinski, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Economy of Poland, said during the interview,” Although LiuGong Dressta is located in Stalowa Wola, which is very far from LiuGong’s headquarters in China, the cooperation between China and Poland has become more harmonious by the continuous efforts of all the staff, which provides important experience for further cooperation between China and Poland.”
