Metso has expanded its offering for the scrap metal recycling industry with the new Metso N Series products. With this expanded range of products, Metso aims to satisfy the requirements of small, medium and larger processors in the industry.

The N Series products include shears and balers, which are solidly engineered, robust, cost efficient, production and maintenance friendly and which have been field proven in the scrap industry, according to the manufacturer.

All equipment features remote access to expedite customer assistance when needed. The whole product range is backed by a full scope of services from Metso.

Compact Equipment Range Backed By Services

The N Series consists of NIS inclined shears, NCS shear-baler-loggers, NLB lid balers and NTB triple compression balers, which can be complemented with customized service agreements.

The NIS inclined shear is a gravity feed shear that can accept long material and large bulky scrap; it is available with cutting forces from 661 to 1,378 tons (600 to 1,250 t). The NIS is a self-contained unit and easy to install.

The NCS shear-baler-logger has a true clamshell charge-box design with high compression forces for faster trapping and folding. The multi-use machine is available with cutting forces from 661 to 1,102 tons (600 to 1,000 t). The NCS is a self-contained unit that offers diesel drives and lifting jacks as options for transportable models.

The NLB lid baler is a compact baler for small to mid-size metal baling requirements, producing no. 1 bales in 11.8 by 11.8 in. (300 by 300 mm), 15.7 by 15.7 in. (400 by 400 mm) and 23.6 by 23.6 in. (600 by 600 mm).

The NTB triple compression baler is a high production baler that produces no. 1 bales from diverse feed materials. Bale sizes are available at 11.8 by 11.8 in. and 15.7 by 15.7 in.
