Peterson Acquires Brattain, Operates Five New Oregon Locations

Tue January 15, 2019 - West Edition #2
Peterson Trucks Inc.

Peterson Trucks Inc. (PTI), authorized International trucks, IC Bus, and Idealease dealer to customers in Northern California acquired the business assets of Brattain International on Nov. 2, 2018. PTI began operating from five Oregon locations during normal business hours on Nov. 5.

Prior to this acquisition, Brattain was the authorized International Truck and IC Bus dealer to customers throughout western Oregon. Peterson will rebrand the company's former locations in Eugene, Salem, Albany, Bend and Portland.

Tom Bagwell, PTI's executive vice-president, stressed the company's commitment to product support for its new customers: "We are making significant investments in parts inventory at all of our new Peterson Trucks locations," he said. "We know how important this is. Anywhere we provide truck or bus service we will have an impressive parts inventory, dedicated to turning equipment around fast."

To deliver on this promise, PTI's product support team will integrate its newly-acquired Brattain assets with the company's network of more than 110 parts drops in Oregon, California and Washington; its existing team of on-highway truck technicians; and its Navistar-certified training facilities. These enhancements will allow PTI to give its customers the International and IC Bus brand's full value.

Bagwell looks forward to building on Brattain's success in promoting International trucks and IC Bus in PTI's new territory: "We're going to keep doing what Brattain did well, and we're going to provide additional resources to bring the overall experience into line with what Peterson customers have come to expect. We provide best-in-class service to our customers in every segment; Peterson Trucks' northern division will deliver on that promise, too."
