Recently, Sakai America announced that it has signed Reynolds-Warren Equipment Company as its new dealer in the state of Georgia for vibratory asphalt rollers and light line compaction equipment.

Denver Weinstiger, vice president of sales and product support, Sakai America stated, "Reynolds-Warren has a large customer base of asphalt contractors and municipalities in Georgia making them a perfect fit for Sakai."

Weinstiger added that "Steve Meissen [president of Reynolds-Warren] and his staff have many years of experience in selling and supporting asphalt-related products, making it a seamless transition to promote the Sakai product line. Coupled with Sakai's reputation for high performance and durability, the partnership between Sakai and Reynolds- Warren is expected to make Sakai a household name in the Georgia market."

After just a couple of months of promoting the Sakai line Meissen stated, "Our customer reaction to the Sakai rollers has been outstanding."

The rollers offer a number of features that appeal to the customer base in Georgia, including the fact that all Sakai rollers from the 39-in.?(99-cm) SW 300 to the 84-in. (213-cm) SW990 feature the same high frequency —4000VPM — compaction system. The eccentric weight rotates faster, allowing faster ground speeds and achieving density in fewer passes, according to the manufacturer.

Sakai rollers also offer a shock isolation system. Located between the frame and drive motors, the isolators reduce the transmission of vibration back to machine components and the operator. The isolators are stronger than any other on the market today, and, along with the entire drive train, are covered under warranty for three years or 3,000 hours.

Meissen added, "Other superior features include the heavy-duty hitch, 250-hour lubrication interval instead of daily, water system with stainless pipes and brass nozzles instead of plastic and a failsafe braking system. And because Sakai North American headquarters is close by, we are assured that if we don't have the part on the shelf that part is only an hour away."

Located at 1945 Forest Parkway in Lake City, Ga., Reynolds-Warren Equipment Company has been serving Georgia's municipalities and contractors since 1977. Reynolds-Warren Equipment is a full line construction and heavy equipment dealership specializing in asphalt paving, compaction and maintenance products.

Sakai has been selling compaction products in North America for more than 30 years. Beginning in 2001, the company began producing machines in a new facility located in Adairsville, Ga., which also serves as the headquarters for Sakai in North America

Sakai's corporate headquarters are in Tokyo, Japan. The company was founded in 1918 and has been an innovator in the industry with the introduction of the first 4000 VPM compactors in the world along with the world's only vibratory pneumatic roller.
