Rogers Realty & Auction Company’s third generation auctioneer, Dustin B. Rogers, recently was named reserve champion in the International Auctioneer Championship (IAC) held at the 62nd International Auctioneers Conference and Show in Orlando, Fla.
Eighty-three of the world’s top male and female bid-calling auctioneers competed and were judged on their presentation, chant, voice timbre, body language, interview answers and other performance elements of effective auctioneering. Since the competition was created in 1988, IAC champions have been considered by industry professionals to be the best bid-calling auctioneers in the world.
“It is truly an honor being a part of such an outstanding group of professional auctioneers,” said Rogers. “I have been blessed to have conducted auctions in 18 U.S. states as well as across Europe, but this award tops that list.”
Rogers graduated from Mendenhall School of Auctioneering in 2004 where he was named “Best All Around.” Now he works alongside his family at Rogers Realty & Auction Company where he serves as an auction marketing manager. In 2008 he was named the NC Grand Champion Auctioneer.
Rogers Realty & Auction Company has been in business since 1964 and conducted auctions across the United States for individuals, corporations, local, state and federal government entities and more. Rogers’ company specializes in marketing all types of assets including real estate, equipment, estates, antiques and more.
