New Round of Students Begins John Deere Construction & Forestry Technology Program

Fourteen students begin a rigorous program designed specifically to prepare individuals for troubleshooting and repair of construction equipment.

Murphy Tractor & Equipment Co., Inc. has sponsored a new class of students who began the 74-week Construction & Forestry Technology program at Southeast Community College in Milford, NE. It is a partnership between John Deere Construction & Forestry, participating John Deere dealerships, such as Murphy Tractor, and local colleges. As a John Deere partnership program, it is designed specifically to prepare individuals for troubleshooting and repair of construction equipment. Successful students completing curriculum receive tuition reimbursement and a tool allowance. Graduates are guaranteed job placement at a Murphy Tractor location and earn an Associate of Applied Science Degree, in John Deere Construction & Forestry Technology. Tyler Litchkey – Des Moines, IA

George Stewart – Kansas City, MO

Troy Talbert – Ulysses, KS

Werner Trierweiler – Sioux City, IA

Taylor Wenzl – Grand Island, NE

Matthew Willis – Topeka, KS

By teaming up with SCC and John Deere C&F, we provide modern schooling, tools and hands-on training to meet the demands of ever-changing advances in machine technology and design.
