Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas Inc.’s R330LC-9A HC excavator was built with many enhanced features and benefits compared to prior models including a certified Tier IV Interim engine upgrade, improved hydraulics, increased operator comfort and added durability. The R330LC-9A HC offers a high chassis feature making it an ideal match for forestry applications where maneuvering through piles of timber is essential, according to the manufacturer.
The R330LC-9A HC has an operating weight of 74,960 lbs. (34,000 kg) and is powered by a 268 hp (200 kW) Cummins QSL9 Tier IV Interim engine. The engine is complemented by Cummins’ VGT Turbocharger, which continuously varies the airflow boost to precisely match engine rpm and load demands for optimal performance. Other innovations such as the variable speed fan clutch, two-stage auto decel system and the economy mode help to conserve fuel and reduce environmental impact. Hyundai has improved the structure strength of the R330LC-9A HC with stronger but slimmer tubing for optimum safety and visibility. High-strength steel forms a more durable upper and lower frame. Hi-mate users can remotely monitor daily reports outlining a machine’s location, working hours, fuel consumption and any periodical maintenance needed, drastically reducing downtime and saving the owner time and money.
Hyundai’s R330LC-9A HC is equipped with bushings designed for extended lube intervals of 250 hours — and polymer shims to resist wear and reduce noise.
