JCB, has launched the high capacity 560-80, a heavy duty machine engineered for arduous industrial applications. The 560-80 is a heavyweight machine with a 13,200 lb. (5,987 kg) maximum lift capacity.

Though built to lift to a maximum height of 26 ft. 7 in. (8.1 m) the 560-80 has been designed as a telehandler with a wheel loader performance. Its two-stage boom carries a heavy-duty tool carrier carriage, with a broader boom nose to cope with arduous industrial and waste handling applications. The boom is equipped with a Z-bar linkage, similar to a wheelloader, delivering robust digging ability and breakout forces as high as 15,000 lbf when used with a bucket.

With that in mind, JCB Attachments is offering a new 6.5 cu. yd. (5 cu m) bucket specifically for use in low density bulk handling duties. A full Wastemaster kit option also is available, with additional cab and underside protection, reversing cooling fan and added guards, for waste handling customers.

The 560-80 is powered by JCB’s Tier IV Interim Ecomax diesel engine, which meets the latest emissions standards without the requirement for a costly diesel particulate filter (DPF). This minimizes operating costs and maintains a low engine cover line for maximum visibility. The Ecomax engine delivers a powerful 125 hp (93 kW), making the 560-80 one of the most powerful telehandlers in the JCB line-up.

In addition to high capacities at full height, the telehandler offers a 3,750 lb. (1,700 kg) load capacity at full forward reach, particularly useful when loading across trucks. The machine can be ordered with an optional auto smooth ride system, to prevent bounce in the boom and deliver improved load retention in material handling applications, according to the manufacturer.

The 560-80 has seat-mounted servo controls for maximum comfort and ease of use. The machine has regenerative hydraulics that recoup energy when the boom is lowered or retracted, and the machine also is equipped with the ability to rapidly vibrate the bucket to aid in the dumping of sticky materials. All cylinders are equipped with end damping, to prevent shock loads as the hydraulic rams are extended or retracted. In addition there is an auxiliary circuit venting control that allows the operator to release pressure in the auxiliary lines, making it easier to rapidly swap between buckets and other specialty attachments.
