Reading Truck Body, LLC, a manufacturer of vocational truck bodies, has worked closely with Ram Commercial Vehicles, part of The Chrysler Group LLC, to expand the Reading Ram chassis pool into the Columbus, Ohio, market.

The central Ohio area has a large network of Ram Commercial Truck dealers who have strong relationships with the vocational businesses.

This connection, along with the expanded access to Ram chassis, is a win-win for both the dealers and Reading.

“Adding a Ram chassis pool will bring even greater support to the Ram franchise dealers and the distribution arm of our business in the Ohio market,” said Craig Bonham, vice president of sales of Reading Truck Body. The pool will be managed by Reading at its Columbus, Ohio, location.

Ram delegates stringent requirements for all its authorized chass is pool upfitters Buckeye Body and Equipment, an authorized Reading distributor maintaining the required NTEA MVP certifications, will help to coordinate upfitting.

Reading has Ram orders placed, with expected build dates in late August when Ram begins 2015 production.

Authorized distributors and dealers should watch the Chassis Pool Inventory posted on the Reading Resource Center for chassis availability. The initial order includes Ram 3500, 4500 and 5500 models with a mix of configurations:

• Regular and crew cabs

• 2WD and 4WD

• Single and dual rear wheel
