National Trench Safety LLC (NTS), a Houston-based company specializing in the rental and sales of trench and traffic safety equipment, trench and traffic safety engineering, and OSHA-compliant training classes, announced the opening of a new branch operation in Lake Charles, La.

“The Lake Charles location is an important step in continuing to strengthen our service and support capabilities for our clients along the Gulf Coast,” said Ron Chilton, president of NTS. “Increasing our presence in the Gulf Coast has been a priority over the last year and this move will complement the addition of Mobile, Alabama, as an NTS location late last year. We’ve been fortunate to add some really talented people that have made an immediate impact and put us in a position to be opening this location today.”

The Lake Charles location will be a satellite operation off of the NTS Beaumont, Texas, facility. Both locations will be managed by Matt Martin.

“Matt has been a premier branch manager for NTS since the company was started,” said Chilton. “Matt has done a tremendous job of building the Beaumont location and has developed a steady customer base in Lake Charles market while operating from Beaumont. The addition of the Lake Charles facility will allow Matt to better support the existing customer base while also adding new customers.”

The Lake Charles branch is the 24th branch location for National Trench Safety in the United States. NTS now has operations in Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Louisiana, Nevada, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas and Utah.

In maintaining its objective of building a nationwide network of trench and traffic safety branches, NTS plans to open several additional branch locations in 2015 to continue the company’s expansion of its national footprint.
