Allu to Showcase D, DL Bucket Attachments at ConExpo-Con/AGG 2014
Allu Group Inc. will be located in the Gold Lot in booth 2109 at the ConExpo-Con/AGG 2014 trade show. The New Jersey-based Allu will demonstrate both its D-Series and DL Screener bucket attachments at the booth as well as display its PMX power mixer. The PMX is an integral part of the Allu soil stabilization system. Allu will have both large and compact excavators on the stand demonstrating the screening and crushing features of its attachments. Soil stabilization (S/S) contractors will have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with industry-expert Charles Wilk in the booth. Screening and crushing contractors and users will have the chance to learn more about the Allu screener crushers and how they can impact worksite performance from company Vice President Dale Mickle.
In addition to exhibiting this year, Allu has been selected to present a special educational session on LEED Credit: Stabilization of Marginal or Contaminated Soil for On-Site Reuse on March 5 from 8:30 to 9:30 am. Wilk, Allu's manager of stabilization and remediation applications and S/S industry expert, will be presenting on the topic. The session is open to contractors, engineers and anyone else in the industry with interest in soil stabilization best practices.
The Allu D-Series screener crusher bucket screens, crushes, pulverizes, aerates, blends, mixes, separates, feeds and loads materials all in one stage — increasing the profitability and efficiency of an operation. The unit is designed to process wet or dry materials in 60 seconds per bucket. Easily process topsoil, black top and dirt, excavated and waste soil, contaminated soil, clay, peat, bark, compost, bio-waste, demolition waste, construction waste, milled asphalt, glass, coal, oil shale, limestone and other materials. Allu D-Series screener crusher bucket attachments are available in more than 100 models to fit any excavator, wheel loader, skid steer loader or backhoe.
The new Allu DL Screening buckets were designed specifically for use with compact-based machines such as mini-excavators, small wheel loaders, skid steer loaders and backhoes. With one bucket, changing screen sizes ranging from 5/8, 1 ¼ and 2 in. (1.6, 3 and 5 cm) is as easy as changing out the screen and hammers. The DL Screening bucket is the perfect tool for landscapers and is engineered to screen, mix, aerate and load topsoil, peat and compost. The core of the new DL Screening bucket is the top screen where the screening hammers spin between the screen comb. This design makes the buckets clog-free, ensuring good production and throughput even with wet materials. In addition, the new DL Screening bucket doesn't require a case drain line for operation. This feature makes the operation as simple as attaching the bucket, hooking up standard auxiliary lines, and starting to screen, according to the manufacturer.
The Allu stabilization system improves soft soils by mixing binder into clay, peat, mud or dredged sediments. This compares to the traditional methods of soil piling or complete soil replacement. The system has three components that increase the strength and dynamic stiffness of soft soil in order to improve its engineering characteristics and to remediate contaminated soil.
• Allu PMX power mixer — A versatile hydraulic accessory for excavators that mixes up to 23 ft. (7 m) deep.
• Allu PF pressure feeder — Pressurizes dry powdered additives and injects the binder agent via hoses to the mixer head underground for delivery at depth.
• Allu DAC data acquisition control system — Measures and controls the rate of additive/binder delivery and reports on the feeding operation during the stabilization project.
The Allu stabilization system also can be used in treatment of contaminated soils by encapsulating contaminants within the ground and preventing migration to the surrounding areas.
