This expansion a decade ago resulted from the company's dedication to better serve its customers in New Jersey, said Don Zajick, president of Norris Sales. During the opening ceremony in 2004, he said, “We have an established client base in New Jersey and are now able to offer all the rental equipment, products, and also provide more efficient service. South Jersey has a huge potential for construction growth and we are fully committed to helping our new and existing customers achieve success by providing them with support from our experienced team. We enthusiastically support our new community, as this is vital to our employment and the long-term growth of this dynamic, evolving region.”
Since then, Norris Sales has experienced steady growth in Sicklerville. Its customer base has continued to rise and the company has more than doubled the number of its full-time employees at the location.
Much of that growth can be attributed to the company's dedicated staff, which drives the branch. Sicklerville General Manager Rob Sowers was promoted to a managerial role prior to the branch opening and John Parmelee, service manager, was hired soon after the opening. Both remain there today.
“We have a fantastic staff who collectively have hundreds of years of experience. They really care about fulfilling our customers' needs and truly believe in providing a superior customer service experience,” said Karen Zajick, vice president.
Don Zajick's attitude toward his employees has always been “they're more than employees; they're like [our] family” and that's the mentality that has kept Norris Sales successful for so many years, he added.
