Calder Brothers manufactures of the Mauldin product line had many of their machines on hand for the attendees to look over. Their 1750C, one of their best sellers features a new hopper design, LCD control panel that is Tier IV compatible. Sandvik surface tophammer drill rigs are equipped with powerful hydraulic rock drills. Renowned for high penetration rates, great reliability, excellent fuel economy and low operating costs.
Steve Headden V.P. Sales North America Terex is standing on the Terex SL3800 Lattice Boom Crawler Crane. It’s a 715 ton crane that has 630’ of boom. It was the largest Crane Terex displayed.
Customers told Terex they liked their cranes, but noted the cabs were a bit cramped. Well not anymore; the SL3800 features the main operators seat plus additional seating for one more. Link-Belt Cranes showcased their latest innovative cranes that drew a large audience. One of the many cranes Link-Belt had on hand was their new TCC500.
The Volvo display featured machines ranging from their skid steer loader, a 10 yard wheel loader capable of loading a 40 ton truck in 2 or 3 passes depending on the material.
The LBX rodeo competition featuring their Tier IV final LBX250 X4 Excavator drew a steady stream of operators who tested their skills. The game was to pick up three basketballs off the cones with the excavator bucket and place them in a large bucket. The leader when CEG visited was 11.5 seconds.
The 90,000 pound Volvo EC380E Excavator features a 302 h.p. tier IV final engine.
RMT displayed a new system featuring on board weighing systems for wheel loaders, excavators & dump trucks.
James Crouch with Michelin Tires is next to their new Bibload hard surface tire for backhoes & telehandlers. The tire will be available in North America beginning in the 3rd quarter of 2014.
The impressive Komatsu display featured a wide assortment of the products including their new line of dozers featuring Integrated Machine Control Technology.

The Sennebogen 875E weighing in at 308,644 lbs. was one of the largest machines in the show. It features a 14 yard clamshell, standard 59’6” reach and optional configuration delivering 83’8” of reach & all powered by a Cummins Tier IV 525 hp engine.
