Adam Rimmer has been appointed to the position of Genie Vice President, Commercial Strategy & Operations for Terex Aerial Work Platforms (AWP). In this newly created role, Rimmer is responsible for Marketing, Product Management, Customer Care, Service, Used Equipment and AWP Information Technology (IT) of the Genie brand. Rimmer rejoins the company after serving in other roles within Terex; previously, he led the Genie Parts, Service, Used Equipment and Customer Care organizations of the Americas. Rimmer assumed his new Vice President responsibilities full time on July 1, 2016, and he is based at the Genie corporate offices in Redmond, Wash.

“Adam's experience and passion for the aerial industry is a tremendous addition to our company as we continue to develop innovative product offerings, services and programs that are designed to meet the growing needs of our rental customers,” says Matt Fearon, Genie President, Terex AWP. “He has extensive experiences within the Terex organization, as well as a great understanding of the Genie brand and our customers' needs. As Vice President, Commercial Strategy & Operations, Adam will play a vital role in growing our organization, as well as our opportunities, in the marketplace.”

Rimmer transitions to this new role from his previous position as Terex Vice President, Global IT, where he was responsible for improving IT service levels, providing technology solutions to support the company's business objectives and streamlining IT service delivery across Terex. Prior to that role, Rimmer held a variety of positions in sales, sales operations and business transformation within the Terex organization.

“I am thrilled to return to the Terex AWP organization,” says Rimmer. “My roots are in the Genie business, and I could not be more pleased to see the progress we have made with product innovation. I believe our markets are at an interesting inflection point, where we can deploy technology and process enhancement, coupled with our new products, to extend the legendary Genie customer experience, as well as enhance the value our customers receive from our equipment.”
