Volvo Rents has launched a new employee Web site, Velocity.

Designed to serve the needs of each and every Volvo Rents team member, Velocity is an informative site with content and company news, and a central point from where employees can link to everything they need, according to the company.

“Velocity is a great information and communication tool that will universally inform all employees at the same time,” said Matt Tavianini, vice president of sales and marketing of Volvo Rents. “It is another effort by our company to be leaders in the construction equipment rental industry and in providing the tools to our professionals to be more efficient.”

Every Volvo Rents department is represented on Velocity. The site is populated with easily accessed information — from forms to holidays, contacts to policies.

The new homepage also features quick links to the places team members visit most often including, Shop Volvo Rents, Salesforce, Volvo Rents University, V-Rents AX, the Print Center, Volvorents.com, Branch Locator and ISIT Help Desk. Employees also will find links to the company’s regional offices, business reports, an image library, acronym manager and a host of social network links including, Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, RSS Feed and the Volvo Rents Apple App.

“The Velocity project has been one of the most fun and informational projects I’ve had the pleasure to be a part of,” said Pam Kurschner, who spearheaded the Velocity project. “The team was, and continues to be, remarkably engaged. In four short months we’ve built a Web site, from the ground up, that we hope will also engage our fellow team members.”
