Garden State Engine & Equipment (GSE&E) delivered a Merlo panaramic telescoplc forklift to Watchtower Bible & Tract Society of N.Y. Inc. Watchtower chose the Merlo P34.10 for a multitude of reasons.

“Once the machine was demonstrated they saw this workhorse operate in areas that they couldn’t get their bigger machines into. It was clear this machine would be the right choice for their needs,” said Vince DeRienzo, regional sales manager of GSE&E.

“With its 31 feet of lift height and its 7,500 pound capacity along with its compact size it certainly gets the job done and done well,” a job foreman of Watchtower said.

“Whether it’s moving Jersey barriers, trash bins or delivering materials, the Merlo is a big part of this operation. Our workers ask to be assigned to operate this machine for its ease of operation, the comfort of a climate controlled cab offered as standard equipment [heat and air conditioning] and its maneuverability in tight situations. This gives our operators the comfort, confidence and composure they need while giving us more productivity and allowing us to accomplish our daily goals quickly and safely,” the foreman added.

“One of our top priorities is safety. With the Merlo boom pivoting below the operator’s shoulder; it gives our operator a 360 degree panaramic view, virtually eliminating any blind spots; a huge factor in our decision. Not to mention the quick attach system for changing the tools with just a push of a button from inside the cab. This keeps the operator out of harm’s way of passing machines. The operator can switch from the bucket to the forks, to the tilting forks easily and within seconds.”

Watchtower Bible & Tract Society of N.Y. Inc. is currently building its new world headquarters in Warwick, N.Y.

“Our experience with GSE&E sales and service department has been outstanding and professional thus far. From the initial contact with Vince DeRienzo, to the service and support we receive, is second to none. We would certainly purchase another Merlo when the time comes. Vince and the team at GSE&E have proved to us they are a professional material handling machinery company. They understand that selling a machine is only the first step in building a relationship. They know that unless it is supported by a competent service and rental department, the relationship could not be sustained,” the foreman said.

“We believe that in this fast paced market we need to react faster than our competition and we do just that. This alone sets us apart from the rest. We also represent the top of the line material handling machinery available; along with the best parts and customer service we can possibly provide,” said DeRienzo.
