Construction Equipment Guide

Doosan Portable Power’s XP825 portable air compressor combines the latest engine technology, compliant with EPA Tier IV Interim regulations, with easy-to-use and easy-to-maintain features that ensure high performance and reliability in demanding job site conditions.

The XP825 compressor produces 825 cu. ft. (23.3 cu m) per minute (cfm) at a rated operating pressure of 125 lbs. per sq. in. (psi).

An EPA Tier IV Interim and EU Stage IIIB Cummins QSB6.7 engine provides power for maximum output with minimal maintenance, all while meeting emissions requirements on the job. The engine achieves these low emissions standards by using a proven cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and Cummins particulate filter. Both systems have been specifically developed for industrial applications delivering dependable premium performance, according to the manufacturer.

Service points on the XP825 are easily accessible for faster maintenance of coolers, filters and fluids. The cool-box design of the portable XP825 improves performance when operating in high ambient conditions. The design enables air to enter the compressor and flow over internal components, keeping internal temperatures low and prolonging component life. Eliminating long cool-down periods, this feature extends the service life of the machine as well as allows for maximum productivity.

Full-color digital display with an easy-to-read interface allows information on the unit to be immediately accessed and monitored via a wireless connection with a smart phone, tablet or personal computer. Display settings can be customized to view only important information related to the application at hand. The optional full gauge package features a dual-colored, LED backlighting system that provides enhanced operator visibility under any conditions, according to the manufacturer.

Not only does the XP825 sport a high-performing engine, but the compressor also is durable and reliable. The heavy-duty tandem-axle running gear on the portable air compressor has an extended-life slipper spring system, which takes the wear, tear and worry out of highway towing. A lockable, lightweight galvannealed metal enclosure provides protection for the technology built into new Doosan Portable Power air compressors.

Factory-installed options available on the XP825 allow for customizing the compressor for the application at hand. The IQ System aftercooler plus particulate and coalescing filters make up a condensate disposal system allowing for clean, trouble free moisture control. A cold start kit also is an option, which includes engine block heaters, an engine oil pan and durable batteries for maximum performance in cold-weather applications.

A dual pressure option also is available with 100/125 psi. If multiple air outlets are required for the job at hand, additions can include up to one 2-in. (5 cm) and three 1.25-in. (3 cm) valves. Changing the compressor from a tandem axle unit to an isolation truck mount for truck, trailer or permanent pad installation also is a factory-installed option.
