For 50 years, Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter has been helping construction firms and associated businesses protect their rights to conduct business as they desire. The organization will commemorate its golden birthday with a 50th Anniversary Gala Celebration April 18 at the Radisson Valley Forge in King of Prussia, PA.
“Our chapter has spent the last 50 years promoting and protecting the ’merit’ philosophy – that construction projects should be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, regardless of outside influences or affiliations,” says Mark McMahon, 2012 ABC Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter chairman and vice president at Delran Builders Company in Wyndmoor. “Our Gala will be a night to reflect on the last 50 years and celebrate our accomplishments.”
Since its chartering in 1962, ABC Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter has become an influential voice in the building and contracting industry. The chapter monitors local, state and federal regulations that affect the industry. ABC routinely provides education, safety and training opportunities for members, and its registered apprentice program in Kulpsville trains hundreds of skilled workers each year. An annual awards program recognizes excellence in construction projects completed by ABC members.
Gala Celebration tickets are $75 each and are available at abceastpa.org or by calling Jean Toman at 302-328-1111.
