AGC of Minnesota Education Fund Awards Scholarships

Construction Equipment Guide


The directors of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Minnesota’s Education Foundation announced the awarding of eight scholarships totaling $12,500 for the 2006/2007 academic year.

Scholarships are awarded to outstanding students with career interests in the construction industry and who are enrolled in Minnesota post-secondary construction programs.

Since 1986, 107 scholarships have been awarded. These scholarships now exceed $122,000.

The following students have been awarded scholarships for 2006/2007:

Dunwoody

College of Technology

Tia Schultz ($2,500) of Buffalo, MN, will graduate in June 2007 with a degree in Construction Supervision.

Minnesota State

University – Mankato

Paul Younger ($2,500) of Mankato, MN, will graduate in May 2007 with a degree in Construction Management and a minor in Business Administration and Economics.

Robert J. Smith ($1,000) of Buffalo, MN, will graduate in May 2008 with a degree in Construction Management and a minor in Business. This is Smith’s second AGC of Minnesota scholarship.

Joshua Williams ($1,000) of Maple Grove, MN, will graduate in August 2007 with a degree in Construction Management and a minor in Economics/BLAW.

Derek Price ($1,000) of North Mankato, MN, will graduate in December 2007 with a degree in Construction Management and a minor in Business.

University of

Minnesota – Twin Cities

Dan Brenteson ($,2500) of Becker, MN, will graduate in May 2008 with a degree in Construction Management and a minor in Business Management.

Eric McElrath ($1,000) of Appleton, WI, will graduate in May 2008 with a degree in Architecture and a minor in Construction Management. This is McElrath’s second AGC of Minnesota scholarship.

Andy Kubena ($1,000) of Maplewood, MN, will graduate in May 2007 with a degree in Construction Management and a minor in Finance.
