Alex Lyon and Son yard man Brad Collier was a busy man in the hours leading up to the auction, but took time to pose in front of this Cat D6 dozer.

MZ Equipment’s Mike Zyndorf came to Fort Worth from May’s Landing, N.J., to bid on this Deere 450J and other pieces of equipment.

Fred Leach of CISCO Equipment DFW had his eye on compaction equipment, especially this Dynapac CA2500.

Tony Montano of A. Montano Equipment of Saugerties, N.Y., was an active bidder at the well-attended auction.

Friendly competition: Gary Woodard (L) of GW’s Equipment Sales and Robbie Alberson of Robbie’s Equipment are both dealers from the Widener, Ark., area who were on hand for the auction.

This Bobcat T770 had a long look from Allen Blakeman of Blakeman Steel of Fort Worth.

Bidders gathered at Alex Lyon and Son's Fort Worth, Texas, facility on Hicks Field Road for the company's Sept. 26 auction.

The sale offered rental fleet equipment from several national rental fleets. Equipment up for bid included dozers, excavators, skid steers, paving equipment, cranes, attachments and more from manufacturers including John Deere, Caterpillar, Dynapac, Volvo, Komatsu and Grove.
