On March 30, American Contractors Equipment Company threw a 45th anniversary celebration at the Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, Pa. Attendees enjoyed lunch, dinner, a keynote speaker and a raffle.

American Contractors (AC) sells and rents construction equipment and parts to contractors in western Pennsylvania, northern West Virginia and eastern Ohio.

Some of its customers commented on AC after the event.

“AC is what they are advertised as; they do what they can, when they can and when they say they will do it. We are very pleased with their products and services,” said Tom Saginaw of McCarl’s Inc.

TJR Enterprises Inc. has been doing business with AC for approximately five years, and they recently purchased a lift from the company.

“We’ve had a very good relationship with them,” said Jim Bragg of TJR. “They give us good service. The equipment works well and whenever we did have a problem, they would take care of it for us.”

Doug Pappariella, regional sales vice president of JLG also enjoys doing business with AC.

“As far as our relationship goes, my company is JLG Industries and AC has been a long-time distributor for the Sky Trak and the Lull forklift products. They’ve been a good dealer… We look forward to continuing our relationship with AC for the next 45 years,” Pappariella said.

Michelle Matuizek of Allegheny Window Cleaning Inc. is a relatively new AC customer, but she said AC has been “great.”

“There’s always people that get back to you promptly and all our questions are getting answered,” said Matuizek. “We’re very satisfied.”

Attendees also commented on the celebration event.

“I thought the event was very nice,” said Bragg. “It was well presented. It’s always nice to get to Oakmont Country Club if you’re not a member. Bill Crackett, my associate, and I won some autographed prizes, which were very nice.”

Saginaw thought the event was informative and well-organized. “I thought that the information that was offered was very timely in regards to the construction industry.”

Ed Matuizek of Allegheny Window Cleaning Inc. agreed. “I thought it was wonderful and first class,” he said. “We were really impressed.”
