bidadoo Auctions has entered into a partnership with Americ Machinery Corp., a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation, along with other Mitsubishi subsidiaries, and long-time bidadoo customers Nikken and NDT, to create and launch Quantos Auctions — a new online auction site to sell and remarket equipment to global buyers.

bidadoo is a large online equipment auction service in the west and is growing rapidly within North America with sales around the world. Over the past decade, bidadoo has become the largest industrial seller on the world’s largest internet commerce platform — eBay. Americ was formed out of one of the leading auction providers in Japan — GUIA Auctions — a Mitsubishi subsidiary. In an effort toward continued growth and increased sales velocity, bidadoo and Americ are developing this online channel to best serve its global customers — buyers and trusted sellers of quality equipment and global heavy equipment buyers.

According to Howard Hawk, president and co-founder of bidadoo, “bidadoo is excited to expand our reach, channels, services and offerings through our partnership with Americ Machinery. Our companies are well aligned to fuel collective growth through the development and launch of this new online auction platform — Quantos Auctions.”

Takashi Dohi, president of Americ Machinery, added “this partnership brings together two strong companies, brands and decades of equipment and auction experience. This partnership has been formed to realize the market opportunity while delivery upon a great value proposition to our buyers and sellers: global sales without borders.”

The site will feature detailed inspection reports and will stream video inspections in an effort to deliver on the promise of “Sales without Borders.” bidadoo is already recognized as a trusted online heavy equipment auction provider domestically and Americ Machinery has been formed from years of experience in Japan with GUIA Auctions. With enhanced “bidder and buyer support at every step of the way, buyers will be able to make very informed buying decisions without the need to travel to physically inspect equipment,” Hawk said.

Americ Machinery has moved a development and service team to Kent, Wash., and has been working closely with bidadoo Auctions to launch the new venture.
