Anthony Montano, president of A. Montano Company in Saugerties, NY, has announced the designation of the company as the official JCB dealer for the lower Hudson Valley. It will be serving the Hudson Valley, NY-area from its recently expanded facility.

“Last year, we completed a significant addition to our facilities in Saugerties, adding showroom space and office space anticipating that somewhere down the road we would like to be in the new equipment business,” said Montano.

“JCB being the fifth largest manufacturer of construction equipment in the world, created the opportunity for us to make the jump into the new equipment realm. We already put JCB equipment into our rental fleet, which will allow potential buyers to get the feel for JCB without making the commitment to purchase,” he explained.

“JCB also is working closely with our company to help us provide low APR financing programs and rental purchase programs, which will allow the interested JCB buyer to purchase equipment with terms that meet his needs.”

Montano was “impressed with JCB’s North American headquarters in Savannah, Georgia, where JCB equipment is being manufactured every day by American workers.”

A. Montano Company will carry the JCB construction equipment line that includes tractor loader backhoes, excavators, rubber-tired loaders, skid steer loaders, telehandlers and articulated trucks.

The A. Montano Company was founded in 1984 as a used equipment dealership. In 1994, Kevin Knaust joined the company as general manager.

Since that period, commitment to the used equipment inventory has increased dramatically with the availability of more than 150 machines.

In addition, its rental fleet serves customers across eastern New York State and southern New England.
