A great mix of logging equipment and heavy-duty trucks were available for sale. Bidders follow the Murphy truck ring to the next lot. A huge crowd gathers, as the next item up for bids is announced. Montana was a beautiful backdrop for the day’s events. This 2015 Timber Pro TL735C feller buncher sold to the highest bidder for $350,000. High bid for this 2014 John Deere 2154D processor was $255,000. Bidders were ready to bid on this John Deere 772CH motorgrader.  This 1991 Cat D5H TSK skidder sold for $90,000.

On May 25, James G. Murphy Co. held a liquidation auction in Columbia Falls for two long-time Montana businesses. Floyd and Sandy Quiram, of Quiram Logging, retired after 37 years and Steve Settle of Settle Contracting retired after 26 years.

More than 400 bidders attended the event, both in person and online.

Items up for bid included a 2015 Timber Pro TL735C feller buncher; a 2014 John Deere 2154D processor; a 2006 Doosan DX300LC hydraulic excaliner; a 2003 Timbco 445E leveling carrier; and a 1991 Cat D5H series II TSK track skidder.
